hey all, so I think I'm ending up with a plum mini that has a 1275 in it..

I was wanting to repaint it to pastel blue with a white roof... I was wondering where you guys suggest I go to get it painted? also how much would I be looking at to get the mini painted? (i understand its hard to quote without seeing it) but its basically got no rust. no dings. was recently repainted by previous owner but I do not like the colour plum!!!

Just wondering as I was asking the shop our work usually goes to and he said probably around 10k!! thats more than I'm paying for teh car!!! lol

trouble is, she's painted the same colour on the inside, so its a complete strip and paint the whole lot job = $$$

the $10k would be expecting to have to fix bodywork & straighten panels, not just slap paint on top of whats there... or you do the strip yourself, rub it down and get it all ready, then they just do the paint, but you don't get a warranty

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

Shhh!! lol

yes, I havent taken ownership yet but I am coming down to Melb from Canberra this weekend for it :)

I think the plum on it is smooth and looks clean.. But I really want a blue and white one. (same blue as the 850 in the for sale section!!)

and yes, it is indeed painted in and out. I didnt even realize there was a thread on here about her. but I'm not surprised there is. I may keep the colour on it for now. Mainly because I wont have space to paint it and I dont really want to paint it out on the street. Yeah, the quote given to me took into account not having seen the car and that it could need a lot of work. but that said ms plum looks the goods!!!

Seeing as it will cost a bit as its gonna be an in and out job...

I may just keep it as it is for some time. I'll put the mambas and the moto lita on it and remove the tint lol

Ummm. Does anyone know how to remove the tint. My commode has tint and the rear screen heaters plus tint film makes the rear view very average. I dont want to be scraping it and damaging the heater lines.

Sorry for the hijack.
