Oil leaks are par for the course mate, bit like carrying spare plugs for your rotary around with you. I have 9 minis and dont think a single one of them is leak free. You can fix it but it will leak somewhere else. As long as its not a huge leak I wouldnt worry too much about it.

Fit a sump guard and you will never know its there!

Looks like a good mini mate, well done.

clean it up really well and squirt it with a bit of clear lacquer and it'll do a reasonable job of sealing it from the outside... but you've bought the wrong car buddy!! :D

can you post a picture of the engine bay? oil shouldn't come out of there, it may point to a lack of engine breathers

if its only that little bit of oil residue around the hole, then it's not an issue, just something to keep clean, if it's spitting out, then it's something to have sorted out

My Father and I always say if the you pee more than the leak, then it's just factory. He always jokes about having a tweed hat made in the UK and even it leaks oil.

Looks like you got a nice ride there Micool, have fun with it :)

Cheers,
Keels.
