What should I put on it to get rid of the squeak?

Probable some spray grease would be easiest.

Spray grease, or to a letter extent, wd40 may work for a while, but the longest running solution is to pull the pedal box out and grease it when re-assembling it. The squeak will be the bush on the shaft which could be tricky to lubricate with it all in the car.
