Hey peoples,

Thought I'd introduce myself (again) as I haven't been around these parts in quite some years.

I'm Bob, and I used to have the orange K which was stickered up to look like the General Lee. I was also reasonably heavily involved in the NSW Mini Club. I organised the Dyno Day at the Minis Down Under Show (I want to say 2009??) for anyone who remembers that.

I've been out of the scene for a while now. Kids, work, houses etc etc usual story. Have also been rallying on and off which was taking up all the available car funds.

So I'm looking to get back into it. I've just bought a new (although ironically over 10year old) MINI Cooper S as a daily driver for the missus, and I've been hankering to get a project to work on with my kids.

I'm in no huge hurry, but if anyone hears of a cheapish roundnose around the traps, I'm keen. As long as the shell is usable, I'm not fussed on the particulars as it will be getting a bare metal, ground up rebuild. Don't want anything historically significant, as it definitely won't stay original!

Will be interested to see how many people are still around from when I used to get on here. Hope to see a few of you around the traps again soon.

Bob.

Hey Bob, I have a deluxe shell, Bare, Already Bare metal, and Painted in a rust inhibitor Paint. It is rolling but there's nothing in it. Will need a bit of surgery with a welder, but generally its not so bad. Only issue is I stored it at my brothers house, which is in Armidale. If your interested I can bring it back next time I visit, which will be easter sometime. Reckon a $350 for it would be good, and thats mainly to cover my fuel costs, the wire wheel I used to strip in and the paint I used to stop it rusting.... Either or, happy for it to stay there, as it's not my house! :D

Cheers
Aaron

That's awesome. We've know of the whereabouts of at least 10 or 15 of our puppies, and we've heard nothing but good from people. Our two are still kicking along. 10 and 11 year old puppies the pair of them!

This is probably demonstrating just how long it's been, but what is this SWOM of which you speak?

No worries at all. As it turns out, that shell was WAAAAY too far gone to even consider. It did relight the spark of interest for me though........

Very VERY interested. Easter would also work very well for me as spare time is at a premium until then. Should give me time to clear out the garage. Will chat with you more seriously about this sometime shortly....

That'd be a no, Graham. It's like a disease. Or the Mafia. Just when you think you're out..........
