Hi Jason. Welcome aboard. :P

There was an excellent website dedicated to the Clubman GT created and maintained by Anton Kraus, but he took it off the air several years ago. Like most discontinued websites you can still get to archived copies using the Wayback Machine (http://archive.org/web/web.php).

The direct link for the GT Spot is here - http://web.archive.org/web/200910031706 ... gt.com.au/

There was also a forum like Ausmini attached to the GT Spot where I'm sure some of your questions will be answered - http://web.archive.org/web/200910041927 ... ty/YaBB.pl

Anton's restoration of his own Clubman GT was featured in various issues between 7 and 19 of The Mini Experience magazine. You'll need to check which actual issues they were. You can get CD copies of back issues from here - http://bmcexperience.com.au/tme-index.html

There are a number of GT owners on here, some with multiple cars. I suggest you dedicate some time to searching the forum to see who they are and what they have said. As well as the Ausmini search function at the top of this page you can use Google. In the Google search box enter site:ausmini.com followed by your search terms.

was Gambier Turquoise only a GT colour or was it used in 71 for Morris mini 1100's
as my daughter has a June 71 mini in this colour as original paint ??

some time have robust discussions about the colour not being original
and supposedly only for GTs

According to the paint cards Gambier Turquoise was used across the model range (MGB, Midget, Mini 1100, Kimberley, etc.) although the Moke seems to have missed out.

Scroll down to the 1971 chart here - viewtopic.php?f=25&t=66469

The English mark 3 with sliding window doors rally Cooper S brought out here for the 70 Southern Cross driven by Andrew Cowan YMO881H This was re shelled into an Australian Clubman GT shell painted in Leyland blue Work's colours and rallied by Evan Green and Peter Brown. I have a photo of it competing in I believe the 72 Cross as car 15 crewed by Evan and Peter rego BLA 523. There is also another photo I have seen with the car at a Rally control point.
