Sat here beer in hand looking at my mini and thinking to myself god I love my mini.

Yeah its rough, paint is dodgy but it just sits there looking so mean idling away with a very nice lump. Sitting at the perfect height.

Sure there is lots I want too do too it but as it sits right now im as happy as a pig in you know what.

Who else feels like this

I will take you for a ride in my 2003 JCW with 250bhp and tell me after that you still hate them because I was of the same opinion until i actually went for a ride in one and then drove one.

Im not much of a fan on the turbo ones and tend to agree with others saying bmw is tearing the ass out of them now. However the first gen supercharged ones really are a special little car.

Couldn't agree more boomini. Love my mini. Paint job is backyard job but who cares as it's my mini and is great to look at! (From a distance I might add!!)

Definitely. I usually just make sure it's dark enough in the shed not to see all the bad spots!

I hear ya! I took mine for a drive the other day for the first time in about a year. I'm used to a modern car so it gave me an appreciation of how small and responsive and FUN to drive the mini really is! It was running on 3 cylinders but i still couldn't wipe the smile off my face. My mini is the same, not much to look at but goes alright when I spend some time on it instead of letting it sit in the garage gathering dust!

Got back into the modern car, it felt so floaty and I felt so disconnected!

Totally understand. Just love the look of mine. Did have a new clubman S about 5 years ago and it was great. Thinking of buying an early Cooper Maybe 2002, but my 76 clubby is just soooo cool. How many other cars on the road get waved at as much (with the exception of a drop top VW beetle on mardi gras) but the new shape ones are also great fun

I admit I might have concidered buying a Bini, if they actually were mini sized. Might as well buy a Golf or similar. I have nothing against BMW, they make a really good car but they should have called it a Middy, to me it just seems a bit odd having a mid sized car called a Mini. Weren't they going to make a smaller version, or was that just wishfull thinking.
At least Fiat got it close with the new 500.
