Okay being curious I sent hubby out in the rain to check my plate

Now mine is apparently a 1962 850 as the colour Chartreuse was only ever used in '62 hence why I was told it was a 62.

My number is: 82034

my plates have the same style of print as yours Cushy, but it has an 11 digit body number.

Meeni's is definately an oddity. Mine fits perfcectly as a '63 850 compared to others.

Not sure if its a good idea advertising these numbers on the net though :?

Hey Cushy, I think you should check the dates on other body parts.. wiper motor, windows, etc... am pretty sure there is another thread talking about these already.

"Now mine is apparently a 1962 850 as the colour Chartreuse was only ever used in '62 "

My 850 is also chartreuse, car no. 90408/7916.
Now, which is the body number, the 90408? or the 7916? or all of it?cause i'm sure 7916 is stamped on the firewall.

I have a couple numbers for somebody to "translate" for me.... was on a mini I was looking over....

Body Type: YMGS1
Engine No: 10Y/Ta/H *****-B

Some info I found about the Body code says it SHOULD be a Morris 1100 Sedan??

.. and the -B on the engine number???
