Hello all!

The name's Ari and am interested in getting my self a classic mini after owning an r53 Coooper S for the last 5 years. Not a qualified mechanic but been dismantling and putting back together my old 1986 GB400 Honda motorcycle as a tool to learn. I am thinking a classic mini would give me more lesson on car mechanics, hence the interest on trading my 'modern' for a classic.

Looking forward to learn from all the mini-mads on the forum.

Cheers

Been here a while, I guess it's time I introduce myself.

I'm Brian, an American by way way of Phoenix, Brisbane, Amsterdam, Chicago and now..... Melbourne. I've always had a thing for small cars, I've built and raced an MX-5, and I've been racing motorcycles both on and off-road since I was 16.

I recently purchased a 1998 Rover in Tahiti Blue with every intention of gutting it, and turning it into a rally champion. But, I lucked out and landed a great deal on the cleanest, most untouched Rover of all time and I just can't bring myself to tear it down. Instead, it is now my daily driver and I absolutely love it. Driving is my favourite past time and I'm averaging about 5000km a month. I spend most of my time watching the 'Planned Events' forum, as I am always keen for a drive, a hill climb or an auto-cross. I hope to see you all on the road soon!

-Brian

Hi guys,

My name's Corey I've been a member for about 6 months but this is the first time I've had a chance to introduce myself.

Anyway this time last year I bought a 1967 Morris Cooper S, really straight, dark green with a half cage.
Not to bad for a p-plater hey.

Hi everyone,

My name is Brett. Proud owner of '64 850 - blue and white roof in Western Sydney. Just had the engine redone and am loving the drive.
In desperate need of a upholsterer or even 2nd hand interior. The seats are well past their used by date - they are blue and grey weave vinyl.

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great weekend.
Brett. :D

Hi everyone,

My name is Mark. I live in Carina Heights in Brisbane. I have a scarlet red 77 clubman as my daily driver. It has had the engine and brakes rebuilt, and I changed the interior to make it a little more comfortable. It is economical, noisy, and oodles of fun to drive. I've also just bought a 62 with an 1100 and discs to rebuild for my wife. It is blue with a white roof - it is pretty clean though. I hope to see more minis on the road as they do need a regular run to keep them in good mechanical order.

Cheers

Mark.

To Mick's question/statement. I run the standard cam, twin HS2s, extractors with a 1 3/4 inch exhaust with a single hot dog "muffler". I use 7 - 8 litres per 100km (35 - 40 miles per gallon). That is less than our N13 Pulsar or Mitsubishi Starwagon use. But obviously more than a Prius would use. Thank you for the welcome.

Mark.

Hi all. I'm from Newcastle and I currently have a 68 Deluxe in about a million pieces.

We had a 69 Cooper S previously.
