While I haven't got around to hooking up speedo cable this might give you some ideas of how to attach speedo to airbox,I made a couple bracket to allow you to attach using four screws on the front face.
I wil take a picture of actually brackets later on today for you.

Thanks Make. What are the dimensions of your box, particularly the depth. Also what Suze is,the manifold. My hope is to tick it all behind the binnacle, packing it out only slightly if required.

The manifold is 3 1/4 , box is 130 deep at bottom, 30 top. 275 wide and 200 high. Designed to allow as much air flow as possible around intake, hence extra clearance around K&N filter.

It's coming along nicely.I've hopefully found a balance between depth and fitting every bloody thing in behind the dash.

Box is now in the car and the binnacle appears to want to fit too. Pics to come.

Good stuff, can you take a couple of the engine bay as well as inside?

So the binnacle is packed out slightly, sitting just on the bottom rail. Some cosmetic work involved but the result is overall quite neat. Here's the box installed.
