Hi Guys
Richard from Leacy Classics here. I would like to apologise if my colleague's email regarding shipping the brake discs appeared abrupt. We understand our shipping can be a bit confusing, but as I said in my email to dalmeny, we prefer to assess each order individually hopefully to save you as the customer money. We don't make any profit on carriage, and in many cases where we do come back to the customer with a carriage charge it is not the full amount. Example in point, to ship a pair of brake discs to dalmeny would cost £42.70 by UPS, but what my colleague should have told him, and what I have told him subsequently is we can ship them to him for £25.00.
Regarding our website stocks not being correct, that was the case until recently, our website is now automatically updated twice a day with current stock levels from our warehouse system and hopefully should now be about 99% correct (I will never claim 100% accuracy as someone will always find some obscure item we are showing in stock which isn't actually on the shelf).
We have many satisfied customers 'down under', and in fact Australia and New Zealand are our fastest growing markets from a websales point of view.
If anyone is looking to place a large order and wish to find out about shipping in advance (and even a possibility of a price discount depending on the size of the order), I can be emailed on
[email protected], and if you include the parts list in excel format we can reply even quicker. For large orders we can take them separately from the website to save you having to pick all the items on the website, and either send a paypal invoice if you wish to pay by paypal or take payment by credit card in your own currency (we get the money in sterling, your card gets charged in AU$, and therefore there should be no foreign currency fee on your card).
Thanks
Richard
