Yes the seal goes on the back of the hub after the bearing has been fitted into the hub

Changing front bearings . Can anyone tell me where the white plastic seal goes?i assume the small one is the spacer. ThxImage

It goes onto the CV, up against the shoulder. It fits into one of the seals, not the other. It is a water excluder, used in UK but not here afaik.
Keeps mud & road slush away from the seal.
