Have searched for a thread here but cannot find.
I have a pretty good condition morris bonnet badge.
but the colours are faded. I was looking if anyone knows the colour or similar available.
Also if people have tips on methods of painting.
Thanks

The hobby and toy stores sell little paint tins that smooth out when applied with a fine bristled brush. I can't help with the exact colours.

I used the following which was an exact match:

Tamiya Color Acrylic XF-8 Flat Blue
Tamiya Color Acrylic X-7 Red
Tamiya Color Acrylic X-2 White

I painted the bits and it is hard to get it neat but just let it dry a couple of days the rub over the top with a green scourer and it takes off the over paint, works a treat.

I have also restored the morris logo in the horn push which came up well.

Try the discount pharma stores for ladies nail polish. they are hard wearing and come with a brush and only cost a buck.

I used them on a GT badge and it really made it pop!

I never thought of that one, great cheap idea, I already had the paints from my model car building days.

I used the Humbrol enamel hobby paints. (Red) satin 174, (blue) gloss 15
used a wooden kebab stick to fill and then polished lightly with scotch brite.
very happy with the result

Just another question for all the gurus out there.
do most use any sort of sealant on the back of the badge or just use the retaining clips?
