(Quick update) Tried a Twini based on a scanned Deluxe badge for comparison. Let me know if you want a vector version.

MonoMini, That looks great.
What is involved in doing one for the "Monaco"? I was going to try and find a Matic badge for the A and C.
And have them lazer cut from steel, and then mill the letters back to leave the raised underline.
Do they use the vector file for laser cutting, or a Cad file?

Thanks Indigo, they are some pretty obscure fonts used on these.
I've knocked up a Monaco for you. As far as generating the actual badge I'm not too sure on details. In Melbourne we have a place called Motorvation Graphics. I have not used them before. However they may be worth a call.

I'm ok with supplying you with a vector .ai file, and I think I may be able to do a cad compatible dxf or dwg file. However I believe each laser cutter has specific requirements.Image

Just heard from other design mates, try a place called Luna Nameplate Industries,

www.lni.com.au

They apparently can do prototype badges (these will probably cost a heap more than the ones you see on mini parts websites however, you get the custom result with the milled part too)
