Are you draining the water before refitting the bolt? It should be dry. Have you got a picture of the piece you pulled out?

I seem to have it sorted now, cheers for all the help everyone. I ended up using the high temp thred tape and sealing the top of the bolt with permatex #2 which seemed to work.
