Hey guys can anyone tell me the location of the body plate on an early mini 850. Also did the body numbers differ by 501 like the later ones

With the hours you have spent sanding, welding, sanding again and again and then sanding some more I'm surprised you haven't found it! Ha ha..... Or have you sanded it out, thought 'I'd better remember where that is' had 12 beers and forgotten? :D

The body numbers didn't differ by 500.
I think the very early cars may have used the UK number as the body number.
The really early ones had the ID plate on the other side of the firewall between the speedo hole and the wiper motor.

I believe they are on the wiper motor side. Still on the firewall though.

Mines a 61 and the plate was between the speedo and the wiper motor.

Once it's painted I'll find some of them nos rivets and that's where it will go back.
