hi am after some one who can weld a piece onto one of my mags. can anyone recommend anyone . I was going to rub them back and paint the others but if its not to cheap might get a company to repaint them as weld as the welding . I have found a company called alliance wheel repairs so ill call them tomorrow. what are your thoughts and any ideas on cost. the welding needed is on the lip of rim about 70mm by 10mm approx.

Alliance are about the only ones in Perth that I know of. Plasti dip is always an option for colouring rims then just peel it off shen you want to change it. I stock a few colours of plasti dip at For Parts in Landsdale.

I'd assume anyone who was a good tig welded could do the welding then it's just a matter of shaping it correctly...probably easier to get a pro to do it  .

Used to be Leo Gommer engineering over near Jandikot. Not sure if he's still there though.

He would repair wheels like I would have hot dinners. He was very good with a TIG,

Leo Gommers Engineering 2 Gibb St, Cannington, WA 6107 p: 08 94515238

plasti dip sounds different does it still give a smooth finish as if it was painted. never used the stuff. what does it cost. was just going to spray wheels silver most probably

Leo is where a large number of auto repair shops sent their wheels to be repaired. So good I wondered at the time how many insurers and customers thought they were getting new wheels...

He got me out of a nasty fix with a bent pair of wheels 4041 klms from home.

The plasti dip leaves a smooth finish on them like paint. $30 a can, 2 or 3 cans would easily do a set of mini wheels.
