Back in the day I was tossing up between a Norton and a Trident.
Most unfortunately I chose a Trident.

Down side I find with pommie bikes is they love to drip oil. You fix one leak and it then finds somewhere else to escape. A mate of mine commented once "You dont have to worry about doing an oil change cos your constantly putting fresh oil in it". My bikes a bit older than that norton and t160 and its unrestored also.

True about the leaking oil, but vertically split crankcases & sand casting isn't ever going to keep the oil in.
Still the Norton ,Triumph & Harley still drip less than the mini though !

You would think with all the oil leaking, driving along with the wind blowing it back, it would have helped with rust protection of the floor!

The castings were so poor I'm sure the oil leaked out through the sides ...I'm only half joking.
Although i've heard of guys painting the inside of the cases with shellac.
