Yokohama A008s if it's a daily driver, Yokohama A032R if it's a weekend warrior.

Forget Falken FK07Es, they don't grip as well in wet OR dry.

[edit] There are few other choices in 165/70-10 size now.
Bridgestones are no longer available.
Dunlop Formula Rs may still be about, but they wear pretty fast like the A032Rs do.

So I'm assuming the A032R's will grip better but not last quite as long?

Yes, that is correct. They also need more negative camber for best performance. I would not fit A032Rs with standard front suspension, you need adjustable bottom arms and tie bars.

I've got the faulkens on my mini came with them when I brought it... Can't wait till they wear out so can take them off and get A032Rs... I don't drive the car in the rain seeing its a weekend toy but going around a round a bout in the wet I come out 4 wheel sliding. Fun at times but gets you thinking how bad they are..

How much is postage for the 4 wheels from the UK??

I had 30 year old cross plys on my first mini, I replaced them with Falkens.
The cross plys were better.

A008's are what I buy.

I bought a set of four 10x5's with A008s from Midlands:
$991 landed

Make sure you check Midlands have stock before you buy. When I bought my wheels 3 weeks ago, all they had were BRMs and Rosepetals left.

I believe Bob Jane has a special on Yoko A008s at the moment - 4 for price of 3 = $105 each ($150 approx normal).
I have a set on my Mini k and they are excellent for daily driving.

Yeah saw that on TV last night - Seems like a convenient sale for me

Just ordered a set of A008s - should last me a long time......and save a few bucks!

Saw a set of them on original 6" Mambas and the sidewalls stick much less than the Falkens I have on the front at the moment......sweet.

I also just ordered a set of Yokohama A008's from Gordon Levin in Emu Plains for $139 each but you only pay for three so it was $417 for the set, fitted and balanced.
They are happy to fit them to my Cooper S wheels without tubes even though they are not Safety rims.

The 10x4.5s are not safety rims, because the tyre beads would break on a wheel this small. Folks in USA regularly break beads when fitting to these wheels.
Tubes in tubeless tyres are more trouble than they are worth. If you put them in Yoko A008s they chafe on the internal ribbing, and blow.
As I found out.
Subsequently I never managed to roll a tubeless Yoko off a 10x5 Contessa wheel at Wakefield Pk enough to lose pressure, and I did try pretty hard.
