It suspect it is just a re-selling tactic to squeeze some more money. No different to when you see people selling three wheels in on auction and two in another auction.

If the original block is split from the car that would be a great shame, let's hope it all stays together and ends up with someone with the passion to restore it.

According to the first ebay ad when the current owner bought the car the then owner said that the motor in the car was not the original however the car would come with the original GT block.

Changes the context somewhat. But the whole engine would be handy all the same!

It is now listed for $25,000 (replacement value) it would seem to include an engine but no mention of the 'matching' block it was sold with originally.

No sure if it will rush out the door given the previous auction is still showing on ebay with a sale price of $12,000.

Hopefully, it will now stay in one piece! :-)

It just really irritates me he is separating the car and the motor because he wants to build some try-hard race motor. Just buy a motor...

There are enough minis running around without the correct motor, never the less something special......

Here is his current Ebay ad.

Here is the Listing from a few weeks ago:

Im just Really Annoyed by people doing this stuff.....

I may have read his add incorrectly, but if I have read it correctly I am not sure what makes people think that it has an original motor, in his add on ebay I am fairly sure he states that the engine has a 12YAH prefix but is 9FXEY type. What is the original engine number? I do not see it anywhere I may be wrong but I cannot not see how he is splitting up a (matching numbers car )

1200/1422 is the original GT engine number. A photo is in the original listing.
