I converted a pair of Twin 1.5's recently from swinging needles and waxstats.

You need to buy an adaptor bush to fix the needle. Only a couple of dollars each.

Cant i just drop in a fix needle piston with the fixed needle in it already

Im playing around with a hs2 1 1/4

Yes you can, but you should use the bell that came with that piston.

just make a paste with some ajax and water and hone them into each other a bit.

Why would you risk messing up 2 carbs when you can get the correct needle mount for a few dollars?
