has anyone got any tips on getting the bonnet to close and open cleanly?

because at the moment, it's rubbing pretty roughly against the panel under the front windscreen. i've loosened the bolts on the underside of the bonnet lid and pulled it forward but it still catches..

You can also adjust the bonnet catch position and height... maybe it's in the wrong spot at the moment.

One thing I will add.

Once you have it correct.. and this is a good one.......
Drill two holes in the bars of the bonet staye, size anought for pot rivits with the stem the size inwhich y know.....Drill them and place them in Happy...Cool... Next time you take the bonet off and try it again try it but before tightning the bolts put those same rivets back in

Here is a shot
