I'm trudging away at pulling out all of the bitumous matting that the previous owner of my '74 clubman had lovingly applied. I knew I'd be in for some unpleasant revelations. As well as having some rust around where the driver's heel would sit, the floor has taken some hits in other places and is deformed enough that I'd rather change it out and know that it's good.
I have an inkling that the Aus produced floors differ from the UK ones, is that correct? If so, what are my alternatives for fitting new metal? I'm not doing a resto, it doesn't need to be true to original, it needs to work, everything needs to fit, and it has to be safe. What would you do?
