It's January 1970 that ADR plates were first fitted to Minis. As additional design rules came into being the plate was progressively updated to add the new reference numbers that applied at that time. The end result is that there are whole range of slightly different plates used during Mini production from 1970 onwards. For example, the ADR's shown on my September 1970 car are 4 (Seat Belts), 5A (Seat Belt Anchorage Points), 7 (Hydraulic Brake Hoses) and 20 (Safety Rims).
