ok bumpity up, ive replaced the voltage stabilizer, and discovering my cluster broken circuits.... ok then, i chucked in a spare i have and temp gauge is still rising, next will be too test the temp, what sort of temp range idling would i be looking at? the chances of 2 dodgy gauges seems a little unlikley but as this 1 dosnt have working indicator or hi beam lights its possible

If you unplug your temperature sender, the needle should go to zero, does it do so?

It may be the sender resistance value is too low, but before changing out the sender what is the voltage at the terminals of the back of the temp gauge from the sender.

Id try another sender

I had same problem with a new one and then went and brought another one and its fine now

I tested the good and crap sender in a cup of boiled kettle water the crap one read high and good one read like the one that come with the mini between cold and half way on a clubby gauge

I now have a infared temp gun now to point at the themostat to tell me
