So I have stripped my front seats down ready for some new covers.
and in the first seat. I find a Australian 1948 three pence, well I thought this could have fallen out of some ones pocket in the 60's.
then I stripped the next one and found a UK 1938 Farthing?
so my question is,
Were the seats before 64 produced in the UK?
could this coin have been dropped or put in the seat in the UK?

I would think it more likely the farthing was in Australian circulation, was that possible for the predecimal coins? Any pre decimal folk around this evening?
Pretty sweet find none the less.

Funny you should say 'getaway car' I (unwittingly ) sold my first cooper s to a group of escaped crims , yes they bought the car and paid me in cash, they then used it in a series of robberies before getting caught . I had to go to court and tell the story, last I seen of the car it was in the back of Chatswood police station.

Back in the '60s is was nothing for cars and utes to have 22s or 303s bullets and shells rolling around
on the floor, behind the seats and in the glove box. In the country, just about every ute and Land Cruiser had a 303
and/or a 22 behind the seat.

You missed out on a small fortune by 3/4 of a penny!!
