Thought i'd ask the brains trust,

I've got a 1964 850 - and am looking to put in the retractable seatbelts for a bit more safety.

After just speaking to the guys at Minsport - they said that their could be issues with it clearing the doors (as they have larger pockets) with where they retract to.

Any thoughts / opinions / recommendations would be most welcome.

I have them in my 63 850. Not sure what brand but no issues with door pocket clearance, as they sit under where the door pocket closes. The belt itself does touch the corner of the door pocket though, ever so slightly.

You could fit them in rear bins and loose the ashtray. Like Rover mini, just use L bracket as well. Klippan is good small units, work on rear parcel shelf as well.

Buddymac.
Got them in my 64 850 and wifes 63 Cooper.
Best price in Adelaide was Rare Spares. Klippan brand.
Don't get the short ones, get the longer ones.

Fit perfect, Clears door pocket. Two things to note:
1 - You need to trim the flate plate (it's too long. You wont see the cut) &
2 - You may need a washer on the sill bolt to make sure it's 90 degree (or it locks too easily when ya putting it on)
If your in Adelaide your welcome to PM me and have a look.

Alex.
