Does anyone know if you really need the tiny spring that goes between the bb and the brass post. The exploded view I have printed shows no spring but mine originally had it. Just lost one.....so cant put it back....cheers.....Drmini?

I don't think my 45 Dellorto has it..

As it's not shown in the Dellorto parts list I'd try running without it.
