Hi All
Took some cams to John today (Mini Kingdom on line)
Come home with more than i took up, new socket for the fly wheel end and the balancer end excellent quality he has the full range of Gunson products i come home with eezibleed every one should have one of these, a compression gauge that fits all size spark plug sizes, one thing that is very good is a tappet adjuster that takes into account worn rockers, a must see, colour tunes, fly wheel pullers ball joint breakers, all sorts of spanners, sockets, torches, timing lights (up market ones) some tricky 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 in ratchets that twist in all directions and can be used like a screw driver, and the list goes on,and lots of MINIS as in corgi toys 8) worth a trip to have a look.

A brief update on John's behalf:

The online store is almost complete. A couple of Ausminiers and others are doing the stress-testing and data integrity checks as we speak. Over 1600 items listed to date, including New Old Stock parts not sold by anyone else.

John is planning a Saturday "launch" before the end of November - bbq, car displays, tours of the warehouse, etc. but he said the Gong Guys are welcome if you want to arrange something before that. He's currently not open on Weekends, except by appointment.

As Graham mentioned, the business adjacent to John (British Motor Industries) are Australian agents for Gunson and Laser trade quality tools, and they use part of John's shop for a display area.

Here's a brief video about the Gunson Click-adjust that Graham mentioned - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK7_tih9sUU

John is hoping to have Graham Russell at the open day displaying his wares and available to chat, plus other Mini identities who are John's friends, like Rocky Canto with his Mini ute and other cars from his amazing collection. Should be a great day. Probably makes sense to plan for then. Date tba.

Drat, would have been nice to get up and actually get to a "mini-meet" with a bit of meat, Dam you having to teach small children to sail.

I bought a Click Adjust a couple of years ago, never used it because the instructions were vague. Seeing the video I can now work it out. Thanls.

HI Simon
What this guy is saying is right if the nut has stretched threads it would not work too well, even doing them the normal way you have problems as you tighten the nut it closes the gap down leading to a tighter setting, but i have a cure for that change the nut :D and if the adjuster is damaged run a die nut over the thread or change it,
You just can not please every body.

PS
If any body needs some really good quality adjusters Keith Calver @ Calver Special tuning has had some made.
