After wanting a Clubby for the better part of 20 years i finally grabbed a fairly original White 76 in February.
Today a strange package turned up on my doorstep, no knock no doorbell ring not even a note. Inside was a spare set of keys, a Leyland owners manual AND the cars "passport to service" with matching numbers and original owners details to current rego papers.
I would love to get in contact with this gentleman as i have so many questions like "why was it sold?" "how long had he owned it" ect.

Its hard to get the mini bug out of your system so if any of the members here happen to know a Mr J Bell, in 1976 he was living in heath ave, South Brighton SA.
The car was purchased on the 25/5/76 from Bryson Industries 152 West Terrace, Adelaide and serviced at the same dealership till its 10,000k service on the 1/2/77 (sold at this point i'm guessing).

Might sound a little creepy but i'm fascinated by this cars history. Over the course of almost 40 years this car was owned, loved, enjoyed and at some points probably hated. Every scratch, dent, paint blemish was put there by an enthusiast and from what i'm told i'm the 4th owner.

Any help would be great

Jeez, - I wish this would happen for me, but I doubt it now after 27 years owning my Mini.
It appears mine is an Orphan that was owned by no one prior to 1973. - You are lucky to have such caring previous owners!
A similar thing occurred a few years back with a BMW bike I imported from Seattle, where the original books, keys, service manual, rego papers & service history all arrived unannounced in the post one day.
Weird feeling putting the posted key into the ignition & starting it up here in Adelaide!

I was just lucky the lady who owned the car before me loved it just as much and owned it for almost 6 years. Very reluctant sale on her end but with baby number two on the way she didn't have much choice. She ended up moving 10 minutes up the road from me as opposed to the other side of Sydney where she was and She is very keen to see the restoration

You do realise the package was probably "dropped off" by the lady you bought the car from? Ring her up and say thank you.

Tried the white pages for the name and address of the prev owner?
