I have been pondering on buying a Quick shift gear lever for my rod change clubbie but don't know if it's really worth it. Can those who have driven a mini with a quick shift tell me if there is much difference in gear changes, does it make it smoother and easier to change into gears? And how much should I pay for one, iv'e seen them for around $300 dollars and thats why im sceptical.

NO no!!!

Quick shift.
Freaken do it!
I got mine installed by Brickworx and its a dream to use.
Makes shifting so nice - distances are so much less.

Get one at all expenses; you'll love it 8)

IMO you'd be much better off changing to a remote gearbox, it's the factory quickshift ;)

I've only heard bad things around quickshifts, apart from willy's above...

What bad stuff have you heard?
Because in 6 months of daily thrashing, i find it the nicest thing to use.
Yeah sure, remote is wicked, but a quickshift DRASTICALLY improves rod change.
Thru the hills, changing from 3rd to 2nd is awesome and requires very little travel in the gear selector.

Its HAWT 8)

i have one on a remote so i cant say what yours will be like but i have had no major hassles was a little stiff so i greased it up and felt better it is not really a quick shift it is just a short throw shifter closes the gap between the gates well not even to behonest cos nothing changes in the gearbox
makka
sorry for not spamming but i seam to have a little experiance with one of these if i sound knolagerble i also appologise to those who think i know nothing having a high post count

Our Clubbie has an Oz quickshift- hacksaw job. 8) :P
