I was going to do the same with my Mini but at the end of the day regardless of the legal requirement the better half decreed the kids were never to go in the Mini as seat belts or not it will never be a safe car.
Fair point, plus put kids in any car and you're going to end up with ice cream in the carpets, biscuit crumbs, sticky lollies and small toys under the rear seat, the back of the front seat will be kicked in and a dollar coin will be jammed into the CD player! I let the better half win that fight
I'm very lucky my grandpa let us ride around in the mini on their farm when we were kids, otherwise I probably wouldn't have got into minis at all!
