It takes more voltage to fire a compressed air & fuel mixture than to give a spark in the open.
Yellow spark = a weak one.

WOW. thanks doc. Didnt know that. OK so then i'm wondering should i go electric? I have a 29d and it seems like its not the most reliable. Also can i change to another distributor all together like a 25d?

29D wasn't a bad dizzy, but being made by Lucas Aust means some parts like dizzy caps are NLA new.
I prefer a 43D or 45D to the old 25D.
I run a 43D with a Powerspark module in it. No points or condenser.

And if i got one of their full distributor swaps it should be a direct swap without problems and should give significant spark?

Yes.
However, the centrifugal advance curve in these aftermarket (non)Lucas dizzies may not suit your engine.
I got around this by locking the advance mechanically and using an Accuspark Stealth black box as well. This is wired between the coil and dizzy, and allows the advance curve to be programmed with a PC and a USB cable.
If you are going to do this, you don't need to buy a whole new dizzy- just put an ignition module in a s/h 45D dizzy and lock the advance up like I did.

Ok I don't like when subject don't come to and end so here is what I did to fix the problem. So it must have been the condenser. I put in one of those aftermarket elec ignition kits and whammo. Started right away. Thanks for every bodies help

Nice job, you won't go back from the module. Great pieces of kit.
