I won't run E10 fuel in the Mini because it's 11.0:1 and tuned for 98.
However my `97 Jeep Cherokee loves E10, which is 93-94 RON octane. I use it because it pings on 91unleaded, and the Jeep was designed for E10 type USA fuels anyway. I'm too cheap to put 95 or 98 in it.

Right, e10 is blended 91. So the RON of e10 is something similar to 95 (less or more) but straight alcohol is something like 110-113 RON. Personally I wouldn't bother with alcohol blends unless I was setting a car up to take advantage of the RON, which would require e85 or more.

I was running United 100 for a while , I do know it is blended with ethanol. Car ran well & could give it more advance up top(megajolt) But after a couple of weeks found the fuel cap seal turned to jelly- replaced the cap & a week later same thing....Back to BP ult thanks

Its been a few years since I last posted in this thread, but just to re-iterate, I've been running my Moke on E10 (United's Premium 98 with ethanol) for more than 5 years with no problems. Its the cheapest way to buy 98 octane, which the Moke seems to run best on, and it completely solves the problem of running-on that occurs using non-ethanol fuel. It smells better too.
