Hey Guys, picked up a new mini on the weekend and was wondering if someone can tell me the year and month it was built.
As I can't find any build date numbers anywhere.
ITs badged as a Mini Deluxe and I'm told is original with matching engine.
It has rh park wipers which I'm guessing makes it a bit earlier.

Cheers Rhys.

According to ID plate and engine number is a matcing numbers deluxe.

Wiper motor Is 850.

Body number and ID plate number are nearly 600 apart. They are usually around 500, but i reckon close enough to be correct.

so matching numbers deluxe, what yr I have no idea.

Delux was released in 65.

Check ALL Lucas electrical items as they have dates on them. Find the range and then choose a date in there somewhere.

Late 65 early 66 Deluxe.

It should have the later firewall pressing, the earlier floor pressing and the spare wheel retainer.

Thanks guys.
I'll take some better photos of those bit on the weekend.
But there isn't much left of the floors or boot floor.
But I do know it has a spare wheel retaining bracket,

Hi,
What is the "later firewall pressing" referred to by Morris 1100?
What is the difference between early and late for cars of the 60's?

So April 65?
I to want to know the difference in firewall pressings.
And the floor pressings. I'm guessing the early floor pessings have a channel for hydro lines where as the late ones don't..

Other way round for the floor pressings. I think it was mid way through deluxe production the floor pressing changed to the same as what you clubman and van would have.
I'm unsure about the firewall though.

Although John has answered already, the horn push is dated on the back as well.

It isn't April 65. They were still in four digit numbers in April 65.
I'm sure John meant 66.
