Hi there,

I am sure this would have been brought up before, but I am wondering if anyone as the capabilities to reproduce the welded seams or decorative pressings (weld with a fake angled stitch) that were used on Australian Leyland minis (seats and door cards)?

Has someone got the tools to do this? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Roy.

Thanks for your reply. Is there anyone in Australia that can do it who is familiar with the Australian minis? like is there someone I can ring up who will know exact what I am talking about etc. I am based in New Zealand. I am looking at getting a complete set done (front and rear seats and door cards)... so its not just a small touch up job I am looking for.... if you or anyone can suggest where to go....

As I believe, there are people that can do the normal welded lines aka Cooper S and roundy door cards and Leyland door cards.

But I havn't heard of anyone who can do stitch pattern.

I thought you had sourced a set of trim for your GT?

One stop motor trimming in Peakhurst in Sydney has the press that can remake mk1 and mk2 trim.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.
