Awesome figures. 110hp at the flywheel is good.

Hmm...I have a 'spare' 998 I want to rebuild. You're tempting me with this build!

Hi Morbo28
Don't think about it just do it,i'll give you a hand with the build I want to do a 998 I think they will be a really good thing, my little panel van with a 998 made just on 110 hp and is really quick with a single SU one of these would be a lot quicker.
I'll stick my neck out here and predict that this project 68mm motor with the new head and my new 274 cam will make 120 hp and be street drivable  :D

Must have low back seats
This just sounds awesome Graham. It will definately be the blueprint for my van.

I will take you up on that one! But first things first! I have probably 3 or 4 months left of a nicely powered 1275-engined Deluxe nut and bolt resto (I'm outsourcing the body prep and engine build).

For the 998 I'll get outsource the machining and engine specs/possibly build (to you if keen :) ) and everything else will be my work. I'm not against stepping up to 1098 but I also think the idea of it being less that a litre and NA is quite appealing! :)

I could get just the engine part of the 998 done before I complete the 1275 I guess ... hmmm ... :D

But if you bore the 998 it will be more than a litre!
