The P76 enthusiasts have done this and I reckon it helps when trying to translate from a colour chip to a whole car, despite the colour variations due to light conditions, exposure and monitors as mentioned above. It's certainly better than nothing in my view.

See here and scroll down - http://www.leylandp76.com/technical/tech-colour.html

the am eye blue is different its a dark blue in the cartoon p 76 and the photo p 76 is a match to my mini

Maybe john could add original colour paint to his mini kingdom online list

Thank you to those who have posted pictures so far, I am trying to post a complete list of the colours which almost worked but a technical difficulty got in the way so I might have to resort to the old fashioned means and type it out. We have ticked off 15 of 117 so far.

Maybe we could do a post edit, when you send your photos, add it to this list by quoting the previous post and putting yours in with the number of pictures sent??

Yes it is a mini colour. I already have a photo of a Sugar Cane mini which is why it isn't on that list, the list also doesn't include the early 850 colours (pre 64) so there will be some that you may know of that don't appear either.

Thanks for the extras Morris1100, the fleet colours will be harder to trace unless someone has old records. The list would be a lot easier to manage if I could use an attachment which would show all of the colours including the ones we already have but unfortunately that function is broken at the moment and trying to format a post for lists doesn't seem to work very well.

Here are the colours I do have images of so far:

Am Eye Blue
Camino Gold
Clay Beige
Connaught Green
Country Cream
Dafodil Yellow
Dusk Blue
Gambier Turquoise
Hi Ho Silver
Jet Red
Nurburg White
Scarlet O'Hara
Sivler Blue
Smoke Grey
Snow White
Special Burgundy
Squadron Blue
Sugar Cane
Toga White

There is probably half a dozen or so on your list that were not used on the Mini range. I can't recall an Acacia or an Amber Mini. (but it may well have happened!)

The fleet colours will confuse things, an example is the Silverpine Green Mini Minor, was it a fleet colour or a regular colour? Mini Minors were usually sold to fleets.

Well while Xmas and a few other things got in the way I am have found some more time to get a little more done on this. If there are some colours that can be ruled out by those who have considerable more knowledge than me I would love to remove some from the list, I have used the paint charts as my starting point as that is my only reference I had available.

Below is a link to the database so far, I have opted to list alphabetically by colour but I am open to suggestions so let me know what you think

It's actually a bit lighter than that, but it's hard to replicate depending on the daylight.
