I hadn't seen these before. I've only seen the cast alloy ones so what would they be for?
Early 850 or something? Would they be for my smooth van?

I put them next to the alloy one to see the difference in the base foot print. Fair bit of size difference!

I've not been in the shed to work on the Mini for a while but they do seem familiar.

Could be early ones.

I have the flared type ones in my car - they were nicked from a 61 model 850.

The flat ones I have on my rover.

They're from early 850/Cooper. The alloy ones with the larger footprint need to be trimmed to fit. Later body shells had more room in this area (near where the front of the rear subframe mounts). I have also seen alloy mounts which have an angled foot to facilitate mounting as well.
