Hi Guys,

For those of you with a red car, which red do you have(Standard color or other)? and if possible can I please have a picture or link to a picture.

I'm looking at getting mine painted and am still trying to decide which way to go

Thank you

Awesome thank you I'll start there.

I'm also open to non BMC/Leyland colours.

I've had Ford Monza red and GMH Maranello red. The latter looked better on the mini.

I did my son's Clubby in Monza Red (acrylic lacquer) and mine in (its original colour) Jet Red (2 pack). Both looked good.
A friend did his Mk2 S in Hermitage Red (2 pack), pretty dark but that looks good too.

Have a look at the Mazda red, looks like Candy Apple Red, nice amount of black in it, thinking of changing to this color.

The Mazda colour soul red is a candy paint. This will be more expensive to purchase and paint.

Check out Mazda's True Red.

A lovely bright (non metallic) colour red.

:D

Mine is as near as dammit to RAL3000. That is the colour that i matched it to when i painted the roof, flares and some patched repairs with rattle cans and you can barely see the difference. ANd that is only because i did not really try hard to blend the patch repairs.

https://www.google.com.au/search?q=ral3000&biw=1536&bih=758&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=dCbPVLn5Ds7f8AXEooKACg&ved=0CBwQsAQ&dpr=1.25

It is a real "fire engine" red, but not really scarlet.
