Hi I have seen this for sale just asking what I should look for to verify identification

Car is in SA and the quoted engine prefix seems ok. Just want it make sure chassis is genuine as well.

It is a replica at best. For starters it has the wrong speedo and it has an 1100 motor not the original 997. The boot lid is wrong as is the twin tanks and the flares, not fitted to Cooper.
The car has cutouts in the front apron which were not fitted till October 1964 at approximately vehicle YKA2S1 4000.
I would suggest you try to identify the exact build number from the build plate if possible, should be YKA2S1 xxxxx.
