Paddy Hopkirk used to sell a contoured seat cover to fit over std seats. Turned a std seat into a more comfortable version more reminiscent of a race seat.

I had one of them on my Mini K, bought from Peter Manton Motors in Elizabeth St Melbourne. Did a good job of keeping me in the seat but cut off the circulation in my legs a bit. I also bought a set of Cooper S steel wheels with standard mini offset, looked really good on the car. I left all that stuff, even the Smiths tacho in the car when I traded it in. The stupid things you do when do don't know any better!

Ive purchased a set of low back front buckets, also came with a rear set as well. Hasnt arrived yet. Next week Id say..... Would still need re-trimming, then piss the harnesses off and go back to either lap sash or inertia reel.... Are there certain inertia reel belts that dont fit mini's?

just seen this. yes wool seat covers are really nice to sit in. i did get some seatbelt sleeve things and the wheel cover aswell for my moms prado. she hates them though and took them off. but they are a damn site nicer to sit in than vinyl, leather, even fabric on a hot day. especially if you have a wooden wheel or some metal bits surrounding you that have been sitting in the sun...

The covers for steering wheel and seat belt are NOT sheep skin, rather synthetic crap wool product.

Does anyone make pre-made seat trim kits for these seats? Instead of getting the upholsterer to make them up from scratch? I know the they make them for Torana seats. Just have to strip the old one off and slip the new one on.

BMC Australia sold them as an accessory.

Brad we are very behind with options for seat covers in the mini scene

Mate I see you have bought your seats, but I would vote in favour of late rover mini seats

Comfy and stylish but effect the rear legroom

But be honest you don't drive it hahahhaa

Hmmm thats a shame...

Is the Cooper S chair physically the same as a deluxe chair? Frame wise etc? And just trimmed differently or was it a totally different chair?

The Cooper S and the Deluxe seats were the same seats but there were trim changes over the years.

Thanks mate. You wouldnt happen to have some images of various Cooper S seat trims?

Ill probably just be trimming the seats plain black anyways. Thought I could follow the same style as an S seat.

My inertia reels are inside the bins. They fitted great. Look at Klippans website for your application.
