My centre strap is just a lump of steel stick machined and drilled.

Nothing extremely fancy.

As for the 1100 cap I dunno.

The pickup hole is for a strainer bracket, used only on nth/south engines.
Straps are generally a square section (cheapo?) steel bar, bolted on with the cap machined flat first.
I made my own from tuff EN25 for the 1412 stroker, but I shaped it to fit onto the standard cap.

Note the strap is a little short- it's all the EN25 offcut my mate the toolmaker had. Works fine, it's now in Gafmo's van.

Cheers guys,

I wanted to ensure when i bolted it up i didn't go covering something i needed later and that once i had machined down the cap it still had enough gap for the crank thrust washer locator..
