I spent a little time today helping tune Gafmo's Mikuni HSR45? carby on his (was once mine)1412 stroker.
Pretty simple to tune, compared to an SU or Weber. Just an idle mixture screw, idle jet, a needle and a main jet.
I put the A/F meter on, and we went for a thrash.
Main problem was, it was going too lean at full throttle with the biggest main jet they can supply (a 220, = 2.20mm diameter). And midrange was a little rich.
I drilled a spare main jet out to 2.40mm, we dropped the needle by a notch, and VROOOOMM!! Numbers now good, it hauls ass, and sounds great too.
