Google Chrome browser has a translate feature (other browsers may too). It produces quite readable English for the site.

Prices could be a bit high on some things. 100 Yen equals 1 Australian dollar (very roughly).

I have brought from Japan many times, sometimes I do it directly myself but on larger items or when the company I am dealing with doesn't export I use Jessie Streeter, he lives there has a warehouse and takes care of everything, better yet he has account with heaps of major Japanese companies and gets great discounts in some cases his discount more then covers the fees he charges which are very reasonable, also if buying things like seats or wheels he will remove air-bags and tires for you too

Thanks for the various suggestions. They did respond via email no problem. Doug is right the prices are a bit high. I was eying off these rubber BMC mats but they appear to be over $100 each not including any shipping, and yes Chrome does a pretty good translation to English.

I am Japanese living here in Japan
I really don't suggest to buy over there, unless there are any items you can't find at other places. they are expensive and they are selling those stuffs to close their shops not a good idea

hardtail-downhiller is right. I have been to Japan a few times and I went looking for Delta's shop to find that the shop had closed down. When I asked the Motorbike workshop next door to please explain what the sign on the shop door said he explained that they closed down and were selling through their website. And they were not doing too well either. That was two years ago.

Thats good to know, My wife is heading over there for a couple of weeks on a work related trip. Glad I didn't send her in search of the shop.

So any suggestions of Mini shops in Kyoto or Tokyo that might have Mini stuff that she could easily pick up for me? Perhaps places that are online and browse first.

My recommendation is "Mighty Dog" in Kyoto
http://www.mini-jp.com/index.html
You can access from NAGAOKAKYO station
Get out the station from East exit
Take HANKYU BUS No.72 called NAGAOKAKYO line
Get off at bus stop called "SHIRO NO SATO"
Go back to south a little.
And you should be able to reach there
Here is their e mail address
[email protected]

If you are going to Tokyo
Please tell me where is the stay, because Tokyo is quite big city
