I was fanging along the freeway headed for the Yarra Valley yesterday arvo and the base seat diaphragm in my '64 Cooper S let go and I dropped even closer to the road

Where do you get these things?

I ended up stuffing my car cover under the seat for the rest of the ride

I bought the wire type from minispares UK. It'll never split like a rubber one

Yeah, the wires are not quite as comfy imho, but it won't happen again at least!

The upholsterer who did my seats used newer stronger, comfier rubber. Depends on how original you want. That's the sort of non original change I'm at peace with. So yeah upholsterers can also help or if needed.
