great to see some Mini drivers above still have that sexist prejudist attitude towards women and women drivers

I'm proudly teaching my daughter to drive my Mini and WOW it too is one of those deformed Mini's you make fun of - an Automatic !

I sincerely hope she never encounters any of you lot with this attitude . . .

Ummmmmmm I think you are reading WAY too much into the attempts at humour in those days...you had to be there, when people were a lot more laid back and not so PC as they are today

My daughter learnt to drive in my Pulsar SSS. Dial up 4000rpm and drop the clutch. It never stalled.
Then she drove an Auto mirage for many years.
Now drives a 62 mini and loves the fact that you actually have to "drive it" rather than being a passenger behind the wheel.
