So it seems that the Dunlop D01J's are NLA for 12in wheels.....

The only R spec tyre in a 12 is a Yoko A048 it seems. I dont need an R spec tyre, but I need the lower profile of the 165/55 tyre for clearance issues. My Dunlops have lasted me about 8 years so soft compound and wear issues are not an issue.

Are these Yoko's comparable to the Dunlops?

What are peoples experience with this tyre? Im led to believe you can only buy them from Advan distributors, which there is only one in each state????

Try a few of the others for price + freight. Midland wheels, Minisport (UK) etc.
http://www.midlandwheels.com/Shop/P-822 ... A048R.html
That price includes VAT which you don't pay.

Not knowing exactly what your clearance issue is, the A539s are standard fit, a good tyre and a lot cheaper....

Cheers, Ian

Ive run them before and I found them crap. It was like a new dawn when I fitted the Dunlops. The grip level was amazing.

That price includes VAT which you don't pay.

That's telling me £ 458.19, which is about $880.

So $220 per tyre, but you'll have to allow for fitting/balancing/tyre disposal on top.

Might be worth getting a quote from Advan Australia too?

Price can often be better if you bring them in with a set of rims as well. The set price works out better and you can sell the rims to offset the cost.

That is a bloody good idea. But not sure Id have much market for Mini wheels up here in hill billy country. Maybe use for a boat trailer.... If I sold them to someone down south Id have to sell them for bugger all as the freight cost would make it to expensive.

$195ea at Minisport

Aussie dollar drop doesn't help either... was better pricing last year.

Try to find someone who wants new wheels here on Ausmini and do a deal with them.
