So just wondering if there is any mini specialist mechanics in Sydney? Engine builders, shops etc?
Where is best to get the stuff we need?

Mini businesses are listed here (some may be a bit out of date - we rely on the community for updates)

For parts, Karcraft is the wholesale importer but also sells to the public.

Some specialised Australian remanufatured or new-old-stock parts are available only from particular suppliers. You are best to ring around, or if you get stuck then stick a post up here and you will get a recommendation for that particular part. I don't always like to buy from the one place as i consider it an investment in my future buying options to spread it around.

For service or race car set up, Greig at Mini Classic in Ermington has done a great job on a couple of my cars. Would highly recommend him.

For engine build or camshaft, I have used Russell Engineering (Graham Russell). Again very good, but gets very busy.

cheers
michael
