On the weekend I started to strip and reco my Clubby heater. I have NFI whether it worked, as it was untested when removed.....but odds on it didn't.....

This pic shows one of the hose connections. Not only is it blocked, but the male part of the valve is completely GONE! The hose has broken away from the heater valve.



This could have leaked BIG TIME if a garden hose was shoved onto the end of the heater hose and turned on

This issue was raised recently....just be carefull.

I just assumed they ALL did that!

Was playing with the heater in mine on the weekend. Levers seemed to be jammed for hot warm cold settings. Will look into the prob now I've seen that on there. My uncle told me to try flushing it out, glad i havent done that yet!!!! Thanx for putting that on there

Toss the tap and run the hose in directly to the Little Rad

I agree, hook straight to the heater core. It won't get hot in the car unless you have the air turned on anyhow. Clubbie heater taps are all just a diecast crap POS. Like a Fiat one...

The Clubmans have a bad heater dont they? Beefas takes ages to get hot, but it works after I flushed the crap out of the system, but Im taking it in to the radiator place and getting the whole system professionally flushed.

The Clubbie cores are not that bad, as good as an S one, IMO- but the crummy valves are usually 1/2 blocked with crud or don't open properly.
Running plain water in the system doesn't help- during summer the cores can block due to rusty water & no circulation.

I put this crystal stuff or something like that and it ate the crap in the system, but I will pull the radiator out and get it done. Might help.

Spent the evening cleaning, reassembling and installing the heater. Then decided it looked cr@p..... so I took it back out and painted it

Will refit tomorrow night.

By the way....I tossed the heater core and it will now just be a blower fan for the windscreen (demister).

Don't toss it- use it as an aux radiator behind the grille. Great for those 43C summer days..

Can you buy new heater cores for them still? Maybe thats what Beefa needs?
