Hi Guys,

Have been looking at my morris mini k engine and would like to get it back to this colour:

Does anyone know what that colour is technically called?

Cheers,

Metallic Green. See the page 16 colour chart here - viewtopic.php?f=25&t=66469

If you are looking to buy some I'm aware Mini Kingdom Online has this colour in tins for brushing or spraying, and in pressure pack cans. Other Mini parts places may also stock it, or you could try to have the colour made up at your local auto paint supplier.

The metallic particles mean that brushing doesn't really work (unless someone can tell what I'm doing wrong).

Luckily you can get paint put in cans fairly easily.

cheers, Ian

correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the K engine more gold than the Sherwood green. I had a one owner 71K and the engine was definitely not green.
Also where are you. I have a paint guy here who has the green formula in both air dry enamel and 2k with flattener in it. Located in Brisbane

I agree that my mini K engine was originally a yellow/gold metallic not green metallic as in Sherwood Green which happened to be a Chrysler Aust colour but as close as damn to cooper S engine green.
